The advantages :

a. Longer battery life

Lead-acid batteries have a great many different designs for different applications. have an expected useful life to be more than double that of the life of a lead-acid battery, or an expected life of 7 to 10 year, as opposed to an expected useful life of a lead-acid battery of 2 to 3 years.

b. Shelf Life

FMG series gel Batteries discharge very slow under fully charged conditions whilst the units are stored or transported. Even after being stored for two years, FMG series gel  batteries can be immediately used without any charge.

c. High-rate discharge

Special  FMG series gel battery technology allows for high-rate discharge characteristics, the general lead-acid batteries work optimally at discharge rates of only 3C, while FMG series  gel battery discharge can reach up to 10C.

d. Excellent charge performance

FMG series  gel battery would normally require a charge time of only 20% of the time required for charging a lead acid battery. This simplifies battery maintenance dramatically.

e. Depth of discharge

A FMG series  gel battery can be discharged to 0 Volt, and will still restore to the full rated capacity, whilst a lead-acid battery will restore with difficulty, and more than likely not recover at all in this condition. This effectively increases the usable battery capacity of a FMG series  gel battery with 25%, if compared with it’s lead-acid equivalent.

f. Low temperature resistance

FMG series  gel battery can function in temperature ranges of -40 to +50 degrees Celsius, and can deliver more than 85% of its rated capacity at minus 40 degrees Celsius. Lead-acid batteries normally would sharply loose their discharge ability under sub-zero conditions.

g. Green

FMG series  gel battery use new materials, new processes and new formulations. There is no mist or a harmful, gaseous emission, the basic electrolyte is neutral, non-corrosive, and cannot filter into the ground, etc. It will not cause pollution; therefore it is in line with ever increasing environmental protection requirements.

h. Safe to transport

  FMG series  gel battery are classified as non-hazardous devices and are safe to transport by land, sea and air, while lead-acid batteries may not be transported by air. This is primarily due to the electrolyte composition of the  FMG series  gel battery which is non corrosive.

i. Life Cycle Cost

Due to the factors listed above, it is clear that the life cycle cost of lead crystal batteries is lower than that of lead-acid batteries
